Heal a Mother’s Heart
This Mother’s Day, join our international effort to support Ukrainian mothers who have lost their children to war and are living with unimaginable grief. Together, we can help these women take one step at a time along the difficult path of bereavement — so that one day, they may find space in their hearts for healing, and hope.
About the Campaign
Life is never the same after losing a loved one. Grief cannot simply be “overcome,” but it can be accepted.
Professional psychological support and care can help ease the sharpest pain and guide women through the darkness, so they don't remain trapped within their sorrow. Trained specialists support mothers in rediscovering hope, setting new goals, and transforming grief into remembrance, love, and healing memories.
WAR-INDUCED DEATH IS NOT NATURAL. IN UKRAINE, THE NEED TO SUPPORT GRIEVING MOTHERS IS NOT COUNTED IN DOZENS, BUT IN THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF WOMEN.
Supporting these women on their grieving journey is a chance for healing, for restoring families, and for preventing intergenerational trauma.

War is Brutal. A Mother’s Grief is Endless. Children are killed by enemy missiles while playing in playgrounds or walking to school.
Countless brave young soldiers have laid down their lives in defense of their homeland, standing for freedom and democracy. The agony of not knowing suffocates the families of those still missing or held in captivity.

About Us
Maple Hope Foundation is a volunteer-driven nonprofit founded by Ukrainians in Vancouver, Canada, in 2014. Since its inception, the Foundation has been committed to addressing the devastating impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Following the full-scale invasion, our efforts have grown significantly — from supporting displaced Ukrainians in Canada to delivering vital medical equipment and even a medical evacuation helicopter to those in need.
Today, one of our central missions is providing mental health support, with a special focus on women and youth living through the trauma of war.
